Sujay leads the PwC Global Health Industries Advisory practice and PwC India Health Industries practice. He was previously the Chair of India Governance Board and the Innovation Leader for PwC India.

His role involves advising Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Med Tech companies in bringing cutting edge solutions in Strategy, Data and Analytics, Emerging Technologies, Mergers and Acquisitions and Risk. His work touches on all aspects of value chain including Research and Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Commercial Organization.

Sujay has over 30 years of industry experience in the Pharmaceutical,& Medical Devices & Health Services industry covering India, UK & South East Asia. Prior to joining PwC, he has led four international companies at the board level (three of which were in the Pharma / Medical device industry) including two start ups where he was responsible for leading senior management teams & creating & executing corporate strategy.

Sujay is a recognized authority on Indian branded generics and biosimilars industry. He has authored deeply impactful Thought Leadership reports analysing India’s dependencies on imported pharma raw materials.and analysing the Clinical Trial opportunities in India for Global MNC Pharma R&D.
He is a regular contributor to Industry Forums and has been quoted extensively in Indian and International media on pharmaceutical industry matters.
Sujay has served as a member of several Government and Industry Association Committees such as The Vision group for Biotechnology for the State of Karnataka, National Bio Technology Park Scheme Steering Committee, Dept of Biotechnology Government of India , Pharmaceutical Committee of Federation Of Indian Industry of Commerce(FICCI), Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises and USA India Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining PwC, Sujay was working with the Corporate Finance practices of UK investment bank Lazard Brothers in London & UB group, Dubai. He is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, two Masters Degrees in Law and Finance from the London School of Economics and executive education from Harvard Business School.
