Nicole Glazer, Ph.D., recently joined Takeda as the Head of R&D Data, Digital and Technology. Nicole is responsible for leading the DD&T strategy across R&D, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, data analytics, digital tools and AI to accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of innovative therapies to patients. This role focuses on end-to-end data integration, infrastructure modernization, improving the probability of technical success, deploying advanced analytics and developing capabilities that focus on speed and scalability, among other things.
Nicole joined Takeda from Bristol Myers Squibb, where she was Vice President, Informatics & Predictive Sciences. She has a proven track record in leading, designing, and implementing critical capabilities such as genomics, advanced imaging analyses, applied AI, data operations and scientific technology applications. Nicole is a collaborative and creative leader with strong business and technical acumen that makes her results-focused and adept at driving execution. She has held roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of information technology, data science, digital strategy, research and early development. Nicole worked in academia for many years before moving into the biopharma industry. She was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Boston University and has published extensively in the areas of genomic and cardiovascular epidemiology. While in academia, Nicole led numerous large-scale population-based observational research efforts. Nicole is a trained epidemiologist and received her Ph.D. and Master of Public Health in epidemiology from the University of Washington in Seattle. She received her B.S. in human biology from Stanford University.
