Jesús Mantas serves as an Independent Director and Chair of the Compensation and Management Development Committee in the Board of Biogen (NASDAQ:BIIB), an S&P 500 leading biotechnology company.
He also serves as a Senior Advisor for IBM, and a Limited Partner in a few investment funds.
In his prior role, he was the Global Managing Partner leading IBM Business Transformation Services unit, a $10B business using Data Science, Industry expertise and AI to transform mission critical processes. He was responsible for IBM Consulting Strategy,Innovation and Corporate Development, where he led the acquisition and integration of over 14 companies in two years. In his tenure in
IBM he was the General Manager of IBM Business Process Outsourcing, General Manager of IBM Consulting in Latin America and Managing Partner of North America Enterprise Market among others.
Before joining IBM, Jesus lived in California and was a partner in the High Technology Practice of PricewaterhouseCooper Consulting. He also worked for Ernst & Young and led supply chain systems for Procter & Gamble in Spain.
He was a member of the first World Economic Forum’s Global AI Council. He serves as vicechair of HITEC board, a non-profit focused on leadership development in technology careers and he supports startups as LP and Angel Investor.
Jesus holds degrees in Telecommunications, and Business Administration by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, was a professor at the Graduate School of Management of the University of California, Irvine; and served as an officer in the Air Force of Spain.
