Philip Just Larsen is the CEO of SixPeaks Bio.
Earlier he served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Research at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Dr Larsen joined Bayer in July 2019. Prior to Bayer, he was Chief Scientific Officer at Grünenthal. Prior to that he served as Chief Scientific Officer, German Hub at Sanofi.
Dr. Larsen has 30 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry experience in the field of diabetes and obesity. After a few years of work at NovoNordisk and Zealand Pharma, he co-founded the Danish biotechnology company Rheoscience in 2001 also concentrating on obesity and diabetes. In 2008, Philip took up a position as chief scientific officer for diabetes research at Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, USA, before returning to Europe as Vice President for early clinical development in CVM at AstraZeneca.
Dr. Larsen holds and MD from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD in neuroendocrinology also from University of Copenhagen.
