Dr. Mittal received his medical training from L.L.R.M Medical College, Meerut. Thereafter, he completed his DM in Cardiology from Lucknow in 1994.

Dr. Mittal started his career as a clinical cardiologist in Escorts Heart Institute with a keen interest in non-invasive cardiology,heart failure and clinical research. He was actively involved in establishing one of the first heart failure andenhanced external counter pulsationclinic in India. He has been an investigator in more than 50national and international clinical research projects with over 60 publications.

He has successfully led clinical research team at Escort Heart Institute and has established an academic research organization at Medanta-The Medicity.He has been instrumental in building aproof of concept unit at Medanta,in collaboration with Duke University.Dr.Mittal has deep expertise in drug and device development along with regulatory affairs.

He is currently Director Clinical Cardiology and Clinical Research at Medanta- the Medicity, one of the India’s largest multi super specialty health care instituteand is a member of the MedantaDuke Research Institute, Board of directors.
