Jeffrey Elton is founder and CEO of KEW Group. The KEW Group. LLC is the first fully integrated Personalized Oncology Company. With its partners, KEW Group is providing integrated molecular diagnostics, clinical decision support technologies with next generation care pathways, and clinical research integrated into a network of community oncology centers.
Before founding KEW Group, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Strategy and Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). In his role as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Jeff led the development of strategies fulfilling NIBR's mission of discovering and developing drugs where there is high unmet medical need, integrating functions, and enhancing partnerships within NIBR and across Novartis. He ensured that NIBR operations fully support drug discovery mission and goals, and work coherently with key external alliances. Jeff was also responsible for forming and maintaining major academic collaborations. In his role as COO, Jeff oversaw Global Research Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Research Information Technology, Legal and Communications. Before Novartis, Jeff was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company where he co-led the firm’s R&D practice in the US and Europe for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and globally the Intellectual Property Strategy practice. Jeff has published articles in the Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly, Radiology, In Vivo and other noted publications.
Jeff is a board member of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, member of the advisory board of the Harvard Medical School - Partners Healthcare Center for Genetics and Genomics, a member of the advisory board of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Start Up Initiative, a board and executive committee member of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and faculty member of the Boston University School of Management.
Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics and marketing and a M.B.A. in Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. |
